University of Toronto

I now live in the Annex, and it's a pleasure walking around the University of Toronto campus with it's old buildings. Here's a watercolour of the Victoria university building, which on it's fascade has the inscription "The truth shall make you free".

This is an excellent watercolour, must look even better to see face-up.

of course the painting is great. also the inscription. in hinduism when someone dies we chant while carrying the dead ~ ram ka naam satya hai. satya bolo mukti hai. which means ~ true is the name of lord ram and speak the truth as the truth makes you free.
